Priory students from the third term of Year 4 start their preparations for Secondary School examinations in dedicated, after-school sessions delivered three times per week.

Their teachers gradually build the necessary skills for successful admission to the schools of choice, so that children are well prepared for this challenge during Year 6. When the time comes for entrance exams to secondary school, staff have removed the mystery of exams and made them more accessible to students; helping Priory children gain offers to study at the best secondary schools.

Our programme includes exam technique, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning practice, writing skills (including creative writing), numeracy approaches and number skills, interview practice and eventually children are given individually tailored preparation for the tests administered by their schools of choice – both in Nigeria and overseas.

We use CAT4, CEM, ISEB and a variety of other assessment types to prepare children as thoroughly as possible for this important moment in their learning journey.
