Houses

Houses foster camaraderie, teamwork, and leadership among students, cultivating a sense of belonging and enhancing holistic development through friendly competition.

House System at Priory

From the moment children embark on their educational journey at Priory, they’re welcomed into one of our four distinct Houses: Leopards, Jaguars, Panthers, or Pumas. This system is foundational to our school culture, fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and spirited competition.

Leadership and representation

Each House is helmed by a dynamic duo: two elected House Captains from our senior Year 6 cohort. These young leaders not only spearhead their respective Houses in various events but also take on the responsibility of tallying and announcing weekly House points during our assemblies.

Events and Competitions

Throughout the academic year, a medley of House events unfurls, each designed to provide our students with opportunities to showcase their talents and earn points for their Houses. From sports tournaments and strategic chess matches to the challenge of Spelling Bees, these events instill values of teamwork, diligence, and friendly competition. While the spirit of rivalry is palpable, the emphasis remains on participation, mutual respect, and celebrating every student’s unique strengths.
